When Fedena is the better choice
A large school that wants one flat yearly price with unlimited users may pay less on Fedena's plans than with SchoolEasy's price per student. A school with its own developers that wants to run and change the code itself can start from Fedena's open-source version, bearing in mind it has not been updated since 2020.
When SchoolEasy is the better choice
A small or new school that wants to start free without installing anything: SchoolEasy's Free plan is hosted, has no time limit and covers attendance, the timetable, exams, report cards and assignments for up to 300 students.
Schools in Nepal get Bikram Sambat dates and fees through their own eSewa and Khalti accounts, and schools in India get Razorpay with UPI. The paid plans add fees, payroll, a school website and an AI assistant that shows each consequential change for approval first.
