How much does school management software cost in Nepal? (2026)

Updated 5 min read

Most school software companies in Nepal do not publish their prices, which makes comparing them hard. This guide sets out what is published as of October 2026, works it out for four school sizes, and lists the costs schools tend to forget. SchoolEasy is one of the products compared, and we make it.

The short answer

A school of up to 300 students can run on SchoolEasy's Free plan, with no card and no time limit. Above that, SchoolEasy Gold is NPR 1,800 a month per school plus NPR 12 a month for each enrolled student, and Platinum, with no student or campus limit, is NPR 4,000 a month plus NPR 12 per student. Paying for a year costs ten months. Prices exclude applicable taxes.

Of the other products schools in Nepal compare, Gurukul publishes NPR 30 (School) or NPR 45 (Academy) per student a month, with a free Foundation plan for up to 50 students. Veda and Digital Nepal do not publish prices; ask them for a quote.

Worked examples

A month, at each school size, from the published prices. Gurukul's free plan covers 50 students, so every size here is on a paid plan there.

Costs schools forget

The subscription is rarely the whole bill. Budget for these too:

  • Setting up: entering or importing students, parents, teachers and fee plans. SchoolEasy's remote setup is optional, at NPR 6,500 once; otherwise it is your staff's time.
  • Online payments: Khalti and eSewa charge the school their own merchant fees. SchoolEasy takes no cut, and fees settle straight to the school's account.
  • Training: an hour or two for office staff and teachers, and a short note for parents on signing in.
  • Devices and internet: a phone or computer for each teacher who marks attendance.
  • A website and domain, if the software does not include one. SchoolEasy's paid plans include a hosted school website on your own domain.

Questions to ask any vendor

Before you sign, get clear answers to these:

  • Is the price per student, per school or both, and is it monthly or yearly?
  • Is there a setup or training fee, and is it optional?
  • Which features are in the plan you are quoted, and which cost extra?
  • Who holds parents' fee payments, and does the vendor take a commission?
  • Can you export all your records to Excel whenever you want, including if you leave?
