Delete your SchoolEasy account
For the SchoolEasy: School Management app on Google Play, published by developer Sajan Kumar Rajbanshi, and for SchoolEasy on the web at schooleasy.org. It is the same account in both.
Last Updated: October 2026 • Document Reference: DEL-2026-V1
Your SchoolEasy account was made by your school, and your school looks after its records: it is the controller of your data, and SchoolEasy runs the software for it. So deleting an account is a request: you ask, your school’s administrator deletes the account, and SchoolEasy makes sure it is done. This stops anyone wiping themselves out of a school’s registers by mistake.
We act on every request within 30 days.
1. How to ask
In the app
- Open SchoolEasy and sign in.
- Tap More, then the Settings gear at the top.
- Tap Delete my account, then Request deletion.
Settings then shows the date you asked. Until the account is deleted you can still sign in, and you can tap Withdraw request if you change your mind.
Without the app
- Fill in the form below. You don’t need to sign in or install anything.
- We email you a confirmation, and tell your school.
You can also email [email protected] with your name, your school and your username, or ask your school’s office directly.
2. What happens next
- We record your request and email you a confirmation, if we have an email address for you.
- Your school’s administrators are told at once. They delete the account in SchoolEasy, and may contact you first to check the request is yours.
- SchoolEasy follows every request up, so the account is deleted within 30 days of your request.
- When it is done we email you, if we have an address.
3. What is deleted
- Your account: your name, username, email address, phone number and password, the profile details stored on it (such as date of birth, gender and address), the photo the school added for an ID card, and its link to Google sign-in if you used it. Nobody can sign in to it again.
- Documents handed in under the account, such as the certificates and forms a school asks students and parents for, and the files kept with them.
- Devices registered for notifications, so your phone stops getting the school’s notifications.
- AI conversations: your chats with the AI assistant or the AI tutor, and any files attached to them.
- A parent’s links to their children, when the account is a parent’s.
All of this is deleted when the account is, except the files of handed-in documents and of the ID card photo, which wait 7 days in the school’s “Recently deleted” bin and are then removed for good. Copies in our nightly backups are overwritten within 7 days.
4. What your school may keep, and why
Schools have to keep some records about the people they teach, employ and bill, often by law and for their own accounts. Deleting your account does not delete these school records, which stay with the school and may still show your name:
- Attendance registers, for students and staff.
- Exam marks, results and report cards, and homework handed in with its marks and feedback.
- Fee records: receipts, payments and ledger entries.
- Salary payment history, for teachers and staff: every salary payment, kept under the person’s name so the school’s payroll records stay complete. Nothing else of the account is kept with it, and it is never deleted while the school uses SchoolEasy.
- Things written for the school, such as notices, lesson materials, leave requests and feedback.
- The school’s activity log of who changed what, which deletes its own entries after 90 days.
How long a school keeps these is decided by the school’s own record-keeping duties, not by SchoolEasy. To ask for them to be removed or corrected, contact your school. When a school stops using SchoolEasy, all of its records are deleted from SchoolEasy.
We also keep a short record of the request itself (your name, how to reach you, and when it was made and carried out) for 12 months, as proof it was handled, and then delete it.
Reports you sent SchoolEasy itself (about something AI wrote, a bug, or feedback) are our support records, not the school’s. They hold your name, role and school, and are not deleted with the account; email us and we will remove yours.
5. Parents and children
Deleting a parent’s account does not delete their children’s student accounts. Each child has their own account, made by the school. To have a child’s account deleted too, ask the school, or send a request below with the child’s name and username in the message.
6. Questions
Write to [email protected]. Our privacy policy and student and child data policy say more about how school records are handled.
